Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was 5 years old. She grew up in Orange County. She received her big break acting after graduating from University of California San Diego, in 2015. Pernas was a small part in NCIS as well as Leverage. Then she landed the part of Marisa at The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap-opera Jane the Virgin in 2016, the actress was cast as Catalina the character that was on the show frequently. The model who speaks four languages has been seen in The Brave, The Green Ghost, and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020 Pernas played Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly announced in May 20th that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley who was her co-star for The Young and the Restless. This was after Chrishell Stause (the spouse of the This Is Us actor) left him in November 2019 and Pernas began dating Hartley. Then, in May 2021 news broke that Pernas Hartley was recently engaged in secret.
