Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who grew up within Orange County, moved there at the age of five. Her graduation was of the University of California, San Diego in 2015, the year in which she received her first big break as an actor. Pernas was a popular actress who made minor appearances on NCIS and Leverage before landing the role of Marisa in The Young and the Restless she was a regular face on the soap drama. The actress, who walked away from the soap in 2016, landed the role of Catalina who is a regular character on Jane the Virgin. The model, who can speak four languages was later seen on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. For Blood & Treasure, from 2019 until 2020 she portrayed Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly reported in May 2020 that Pernas was on the verge of dating Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. The romance started after Chrishell Stause, the This Is Us actress split in November of 2018.
